The Benefits of Offering to Bring Great Teachers to Maitripa College

When you make offerings to bring great Buddhist teachers to Maitripa College, you do more than sponsor a visit — you help open a doorway for wisdom to enter the world.

Each teaching, each moment of transmission, becomes a living bridge between ancient insight and our modern lives. Supporting this work ensures that the Dharma continues to take root where it is most needed — in our hearts, our communities, and for future generations of students.

Making offerings to our teachers is among the most powerful ways to cultivate merit and deepen our own connection to the teachings. When we give to bring the Dharma to others, we share in that benefit with our neighbors in Portland and close connections — generating vast positive potential and participating directly in the flourishing of wisdom and compassion.

Your offering becomes both a gift to the community and a practice of devotion, helping Maitripa remain a place where the light of the Dharma shines brightly in this world.
“Share your love, your wisdom, and your wealth, and serve other beings as much as possible. Live in harmony with one another and be an example of peace, love, compassion, and wisdom.”
